On 5-11 September 2017, an Entomological Workshop “Insects World Around Us” was held at the Hydrobiological Station of the Nencki Institute in Mikolajki. Participants listened to the many interesting lectures: “One hundred years of the Nencki Institute, discovering of the secrets of the insects world“by prof. Ewa J. Godzińska from our Institute, “Dealing with the giant bee – grows and its behavior in Nepal” – by prof. Jerzy Woyke from SGGW, a world-famous bee specialist, and “Insects on moving cages: actors and naturists” by assoc. prof. M. Kozłowski from SGGW. The workshops program also includes field activities (also night), laboratory, photographic, film and computer classes. The event was accompanied by two photo exhibitions: “Microcosm of Ants 3” and “In My Lens“, which could be admired in the building of the old “Akwarialnia“.
