The Hydrobiological Station (situated on the edge of the Pisz Forest – Puszcza Piska – on the Mikolajskie Lake, in the central part of the Masurian Lakes District) enables conducting field studies in different environments and ecosystems. Due to its location, equipment, and laboratory space Station can serve as a place for student internships and classes in field ecology (aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems).
The most part of conducted here research focus on limnological issues so far, but researchers in other fields of widely understood biology are welcome.
The Station can accomodate guests round-year, but its infrastructure is used mostly from spring to autumn.
