WORKSHOPS of the ICEE project

 

An integral part of the ICEE project will be a three-year series of educational classes about the biodiversity of the Piska Forest and Masurian Lakes. It will be addressed to primary and secondary school students from our region. Classes, consisting of lectures and field- and laboratory workshops will take place in spring (April-May-June) and autumn (September-October) in the period of 2020-2023 and will cover the following topics:

1. Ecology of Masurian lakes
2. Plankton of Masurian lakes
3. Water invertebrates of Masurian lakes and rivers
4. Insects of the forsts and meadows of the Piska Forest
5. Forest and meadow ecosystems of the Piska Forest
6. Birds and mammals of the Piska Forest

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are forced to change the schedule of our project. If the situation allows it – the educational workshops for school children and youth will start in Spring 2021.
