KRUTYNIA – RIVER OF THE CULTURES

On the May 30th the conference “Krutynia – river of the cultures” organized by Mazury Landscape Park in collaboration with the Department of Natural and Cultural Heritage of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn was held in Krutynia.

The conference began with a lecture by Tomasz Janecki PhD (Hydrobiological Station – Mikolajki) on Mazurian zooplankton “Stray in the depths of the lake”. Stanislaw Czachorowski, PhD answered the question “Do some unusual Trichoptera lives in the Masurian Landscape Park?”, Hanna Ciecierska, PhD –  “Do Mazurian lakes need plants?” and about “Mushrooms of Mazurian Landscape Park” told us Grzegorz Fiedorowicz PhD. In the historical and cultural part we listened to the following lectures: “Nature and culture. A common heritage “- Małgorzata Liszewska, PhD, “Mazurian Waterways”- Dariusz Liszewski, PhD, “Old Ritualists in Mazuria”- Zoya Jaroszewicz-Pieresławcew, PhD, and “Polish-German polemics on the Masurian carpets” – Ewa Gładkowska, PhD.
