On September 12 and 13, 2019, at the Research Station of the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Mikołajki, there were “Workshops for Teachers and Educators” organized jointly by the Masurian Landscape Park, the Nencki Institute Research Station in Mikołajki and the Field Station of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw in Urwitałt. Lectures and workshop classes (laboratory and field) covered the following topics: lake zooplankton, invertebrates of small water bodies, small retention and raised bogs, and polar ecosystems. The classes were attended by teachers from our region, employees of the education departments of National Parks, Landscape Parks, State Forests and other research stations (a total of 40 people). Classes were led by: prof. Jolanta Ejsmont-Karabin and Tomasz Janecki Ph.D. (Research Station of the Nencki Institute in Mikołajki), Grzegorz Górecki M. Sc. and Anna Zaborowska M. Sc. (Field Station of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw in Urwitałt) and Krzysztof Lewandowski M.Sc. (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn). We organized the workshops with co-financing of the Regional Fundation for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Olsztyn.
